Description
Almustafa, The Prophet; an impression of Kahlil Gibran's well-known drawing of the speaker from his beautiful book of prose-poetry, The Prophet.
There are all kinds of problems with this painting, but it was a quick 20 or 25 minute acrylic sketch across two pieces of masonite I had around the house. I'll eventually shape his chin properly. I'm just experimenting with painting techniques; in this piece I used a soup of acrylic, water and matte medium. It's around 18x12" including both panels (it splits right down the center of his face)
